The good folks over at Roadster Shop strike again with a second-gen 'Action Line' K10 that inherits its nickname and then adds a lot more modern pizzaz on top – with the old-school pickup truck morphing into a restomod you would love to see under the Christmas tree as the ultimate present.
There isn't a lot of time left before we celebrate Christmas, and the old saying goes that we should all strive to get better at what we do and as human beings as a whole. I don't know about you, but the peeps over at Roadster Shop are nearing perfection if you want our two cents on the matter.

And there is no need to take our word for granted. The aftermarket enterprise that promises it can "build the finest vehicles and chassis for street and performance" is not discriminating against anyone – it suffices to take a peek at its social media posts. For example, some of the most recent highlights include a recently completed 1960 Chevy El Camino, a 1969 Pontiac Firebird, a 1970 Chevy C10, or a twin-turbo V8 Buick Grand National.

Of course, enthusiasts already know the Mundelein, Illinois-based outlet usually focuses on General Motors products. However, that doesn't mean you can't go to them with a Mopar, Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury because they won't turn you away. Anyway, after the El Camino with a Fast Track chassis, LS3/T-56 combo, Forgeline RS6 wheels, Baer brakes, and the gorgeous blue paintwork, which you can see in all its glory embedded second below, the company turned the spotlight on an old-school pickup truck.

It's so traditional that at first sight, you might think this 1970 Chevy K10 is one of those time capsule barn finds the Internet has been so fond of lately. However, that's just a ruse because a lot of time and money went into this project – as it's easy to see in the gallery section dedicated to the build's progress. In fact, this classic second-gen 'Action Line' 4WD pickup truck was completely dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up as part of the 'Survivor Series.'

That means the exterior is untouched and could pass by as a 1970 Chevy K10 that just went through a time portal right when the factory completed it. But it's probably a lot better than the original truck, even if it didn't have all the juicy modifications hiding under the mint-painted black body and chassis. Skimming through the highlights, Roadster Shop talks about sweet music to our ears: a 627-horsepower GM 454 LSX engine hooked to a 4L80 transmission, a complete 'RS4' chassis, Forgeline OE1-style aftermarket wheels, and an interior that mixes nostalgia with modernity like a charm thanks to the beautiful seat inserts, Dakota Digital instrument cluster, custom machined dash insert and head unit, plus the RS-made center console. ?
