While the Camaro is already a dream car for so many people, Nickey is the name that instantly catches the attention of most Chevrolet fans out there.
And it’s because this dealership, which officially opened its doors back in 1925, was responsible for some of the coolest upgrades out there, many of them involving the Camaro itself.

Mostly focused on installing Chevrolet big block engines in models like Camaro, Chevelle, Impala, and even the Nova, Nickey Chevrolet ended up building hundreds of custom cars before it closed its doors in 1973, and some of them can still be found today at auto shows mostly across the States.

The model right here isn’t a Nickey Camaro per se but a replica that was built in the modern era according to the specifications of the dealership. And the best of all, it can actually be yours today.

The ’68 Camaro RS “Nickey Replica” comes with a 468ci big block engine developing no less than 600 horsepower, and the owner insists that it’s using the 108+ higher octane fuel. The new engine is paired to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, and the mechanical upgrade also includes a custom-built driveshaft, 3” exhaust pipes, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.

Of course, the interior itself has also been customized, and you’re getting a full roll cage, as well as new switches and restored gauges. The seller says they believe the car was restored and repainted “sometime around the year 2000” but no proof is available in this regard.

Aesthetically speaking, there still are things to fix, including a small paint chip in the driver door, a few scratches on the rear glass, and a hole in the headliner on the passenger side.

This Camaro is currently up for auction on eBay, and the seller has set a “Buy It Now” price of $44,900. The highest bid at the time of writing is a little over $2,000.
