The tiny living trend has grown to gargantuan proportions and appeals to all age groups and all income brackets. This means builders have had to adapt their offerings to meet different homeowner tastes and preferences. Right now, there is a considerable variety of tiny home styles to choose from, from rustic and bohemian to modern and snazzy.
Many tiny home manufacturers are willing to customize their designs at reasonable prices to suit every client's lifestyle and make them feel at home. Canadian Tiny Homes is one of the builders that put their clients' needs at the forefront of their designs and craft beautiful compact dwellings that maximize functionality and versatility.

One of the latest models coming out of their shed is the Monarch, a 26-foot (8-meter) long tiny home on wheels that promises to offer its owner simplified mobile living. The greatest perk of having a house on wheels is that you can move whenever you want, visit different places, and even lease land for prolonged periods if you have no plans to settle in a certain country.

The Monarch, which made its debut at the West Kootenay Trade Show in Castlegar in April, allows its owners the freedom of mobile living while also offering modern amenities and technology for optimal comfort. Crafted with quality materials and beautiful finishes, the Monarch lives up to the meaning of its name, looking classy and elegant, just like royalty.

The exterior of this tiny home is clad in board and batten siding with cedar shakes on the upper section, along with a standing seam metal roof. The color palette combines hunter green with black trim around the door and window, making it look like a cute little cabin that belongs in a mountain forest. The use of a shed roof line helps create sufficient interior vertical space to include lofts.

Despite the cabin-in-the-woods appearance, this tiny house on wheels is well-equipped for long-term living, boasting a cozy living room, a residential-style kitchen, a zen loft bedroom, and a practical second loft area.

A full-light front door leads inside the Monarch, where you'll discover an intimate interior with a rustic vibe created by the custom woodwork, including walnut stair treads, fir trim, and a beautiful stained wood ceiling.

Like in many tiny houses with lofted bedrooms, the main floor area is dominated by the kitchen. Spacious and well-accoutered, the kitchen is one of the strong suits of this compact dwelling. It features custom handcrafted cabinetry, a few floating shelves, and a fold-away island that can serve as a breakfast bar, dining space, extra counter space, or a workstation.

This galley-style kitchen is equipped with a stainless steel farmhouse double sink, a gas range, and an apartment-sized refrigerator with bottom freezer, which ensures the space can offer its residents the same functionality as a conventional kitchen.

The adjacent living room is fitted with a built-in L-shaped couch with full storage underneath. It's a small and cozy space that stands out through its simplicity. Some throw pillows on the couch, and a couple of paintings on the walls add character to the area, while windows on two sides and the glass entry door ensure it is flooded with natural light and beautiful views.

At the other end of the house is the bathroom, which offers satisfactory amenities for a tiny home, including a full-size shower, a flush toilet, a vanity with a ceramic sink and a beautiful oil-rubbed bronze fixture, and a rustic-looking light fixture. There is also space for a washer/dryer combo between the bathroom and the kitchen.

The bedroom loft is situated above the bathroom and part of the kitchen and can be accessed via a railing-protected staircase. It's a traditional tiny house-style lofted sleeping space with no headroom to stand up, but looks cozy enough and exudes a bohemian chic vibe. The standout feature in this area is the oversized Velux opening roof window located above the queen bed. It provides abundant natural light and allows residents to enjoy a view of the stars from the comfort of the bed.

Storage is carefully taken care of by the secondary loft lying above the living area. For those who need more, the space under the staircase can also be leveraged for extra storage.

The abundance of woodwork throughout the house gives it a rustic and premium look at the same time. The waterproof vinyl plank flooring and beautiful stained wood ceiling tie everything together, while the beadboard paneling on the walls prevents the abundant woodwork from appearing too heavy.

Having been crafted by Canadian Tiny Homes, a company based in Nelson, British Columbia, whose team of experts have 35 years of experience in the home design and building industry, the Monarch comes with a stamp of trust. The tiny house is built with high-quality natural materials, efficient insulation, and premium amenities and is meant to last for generations and withstand the harshest weather conditions.
