Tesla’s insane Cybertruck pickup truck managed to ignite the imagination of people all across the planet in a very short period of time. Sure, all cars new to the scene do that to some extent, but we can’t remember the last time we saw such enthusiasm engulfing amateur designers, and lasting this long.
Since the Cybertruck was unveiled in late 2019, we’ve seen it recreated not only in digital form, as other new exciting cars on the block often do, but also physically, either based on some existing vehicles or built from scratch, like these guys here did.
There is also no secret Tesla’s owner Elon Musk is a big fan of space exploration. He owns a space company, sent an actual car into space, and he made no secret of his plans of eventually colonize Mars (and possibly even moving there).
Knowing that, a design studio that goes by the name of Charlie Automotive set out to create a Moon rover based on the Cybertruck. You can see it in the gallery above.
As all other Moon rovers – or all rovers meant for other planets – this too has more than the four wheels Earth vehicles are usually fitted with. In this case, we’re talking about six of them, two at the front and four at the rear, meant to help the vehicle move about on the dusty surface of the Moon.
The machine seems to be ready for every unpleasant situation that might arise during its exploration of the Earth's satellite, packing a wide range of hardware - the most impressive of all being the tires themselves.
We are not being told though what charging solution has been found for it, but we can easily imagine a charging station that draws its power from the Sun, and then feeds it to the electric vehicle.
