The double-yellow line is usually on the road for a reason. And when a driver chooses to ignore the road markings, we can end up with situations like the one we're here to show you. This shenanigan involves a Subaru WRX whose driver is clearly not up to the task.
The whole shenanigan was captured on the dashcam, with the stunt having taken place in the US, on the Angeles Crest Highway - this is one of the sweetest spirited driving roads in the proximity of Los Angeles.

The camera car was overtaken by a Subaru WRX on a straight section, but one that featured the said double-yellow. And it's obvious that the guy behind the wheel of the Scoobie pulled a poor passing maneuver - instead of a less risky quick pass, it seems like the man had to build up the momentum, thus passing the truck at serious speed and completing the maneuver almost at the beginning of the upcoming turn.

Thus, the Subaru almost hit a Ford pickup truck coming the other way, with the driver of the latter having to veer to the side of the road in an attempt to avoid the effort.

And the fact that the WRX guy had to step on the brakes while making his way back into his lane sent the rear end sliding into the upcoming bend. As such, the Subaru went sliding across the curve, once again crossing the line and even climbing the gravel on the side of the road.

Having gone through two near-crashes, the Scoobie returned to the road, with the driver slowing down considerably, probably as a result of the shock he experienced.

The cammer took to Reddit to share this story with us, also dropping a few extra details on the matter. As is turns out, the man got close to the Subaru driver a few miles down the road, letting us know that the latter was in his mid-20s and had his 12-year-old brother in the back. His attitude? The youngster was described as "being proud of his achievement".
