With only some declarations regarding the potential price of a street-legal version of the MotoGP Honda RC213V, certain dates and leaked specs are still a dream. However, since the official confirmation of Honda's CEO Takanobu Ito, it seems like the bike is on its way.
Still it's not clear whether the 1000cc V4 engine will try to replace the CBR racing machines or will be a new, more exclusive and pricier member of the sport bikes family. When talking about prices Dave Hancock, Head of Product Planning & Business Development for Honda Motor Europe estimated the pricetag for the future bike to reach around the $110,000-$125,000 (€86,050 - €97,785).

A hell lot fo money for a bike, indeed, but it seems like Honda kind of know their way around, and are hoping that collectors and wealthy motorsport enthusiasts (the likes of Jay Leno) will buy this limited edition bike.

Limited, because it's hard to believe Honda will build too many of these bikes: most likely they'll build just as many as to comply with the World Superbike Series regulations. And with a limited number, prices could also go a bit higher, we all know the drill. Remains to see what will come of the recent drastic rules for Moto GP and how will Honda's new bike fare according to them.
