HONDA CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP (2024) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Honda CBR1000RR was a sports motorcycle, also known as Fireblade, introduced by Honda in 2004 as the seventh generation of the CBR series, which started with the CBR900RR in 1992.

In 2020, the CBR1000RR received an update that also came with a new name. CBR1000RR-R was the name for the race-inspired model that also packed a new engine with technologies used by the RC213V MotoGP machine and a redesigned bodywork.

In 2023, at the EICMA show, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer presented the new iteration of the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, a sports machine that received several modifications, like a color scheme and other significant changes in several departments.

The 2024 model year Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP packs a 1,000cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, delivering 218 hp at 14,000 rpm and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) torque at 12,000 rpm.

The bike is built around a twin tube aluminum frame with a 43 mm adjustable Ohlins shock absorber on the front and an adjustable Ohlins shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for the braking power, the bike is fitted with two 330 mm discs coupled to four-piston Brembo calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc with a dual-piston Brembo caliper, offering excellent stopping power.
