We often see tiny homes modified to increase storage or add functionality through additional amenities such as a home office or a workshop area, but it's rare to hear about homes on wheels where pure relaxation is the ultimate goal - meet Coconut, one of the coolest dual-loft tiny homes that bring the feeling of paradise indoors.
If the name "Coconut" makes you dream about tropical vacations, you won't be disappointed. This gorgeous double-loft tiny displays a fresh take on a classic layout and infuses it with the informal, inviting atmosphere of a contemporary oasis.

Although not destined to operate as a vacation rental, the Mobi 06 Coconut by Mobi House exudes the vibe of a vacation sanctuary through every feature. It's one of those rare, ingenious designs that merge the functionality of a regular urban house with the relaxed style of a holiday retreat. It's much fancier than your typical "weekender" meant for family outdoor escapades and more bohemian than the tiny homes that try to replicate classic family-home layouts.

Mobi's 06 platform is a classic dual-loft configuration that comes on an 8.4-meter (27.5-foot) trailer. One of its main advantages, apart from the spacious layout, is the perfectly cubic shape that results in greater symmetry and a better use of interior space. At the same time, this platform has proven to be one of the most versatile ones in the Mobi House range. No Mobi House build looks exactly like the ones that come on the same platform, and that's because a few clever modifications and an inspired choice of colors can make a huge difference.

In the case of Coconut, the main modifications to the standard Mobi 06 platform were a huge double door that was moved to the side wall and the addition of oversized, panoramic windows. As we step inside, we'll also see that the second loft comes with a twist in the form of a mesh floor. Although they may seem simple, all of these elements together turn a rather common dual-loft configuration into an indoor/outdoor haven where relaxation and fun reign supreme.

Even from the outside, you can easily see that the Coconut tiny is opening up to the outside world, and inviting the outdoors in. It's not as colorful as most tiny homes from this builder, which usually flaunt strikingly vibrant color palettes, because the huge windows and glass door already have a powerful impact.

The Coconut tiny's lounge seems almost transparent. Two full-height windows – an unusual feature for this brand – effectively blur the line between the inside and the outside. The result is what many tiny homeowners are looking for these days, which is that sense of being outdoors, even from the privacy of your own home. It goes beyond classic views and ample natural light – this lounge seems immersed in its natural surroundings. At the same time, it doesn't lack the high comfort standards of a conventional living room, which includes a big wall-mounted TV screen and a decent-sized fireplace.

The unexpected perk is that as cool as it is, this isn't the only relaxation area in the house. By ditching classic flooring in favor of a mesh alternative, the second loft was instantly transformed into an informal lounge with a bohemian vibe. We've seen this type of mesh-floor loft before, but it's usually the only designated relaxation area in the house.

In this case, owners have access to both a spacious main-floor living room with luxury amenities and huge windows and a second loft lounge for a more informal vibe. A full-height protection separator with woven strings acts as a protection wall without obstructing the view whatsoever. Plus, it's a signature bohemian feature with a decorative role.

Last but not least, a big horizontal window brings natural light and fresh air. This is a great bohemian-style elevated lounge that encourages everyone in the house to relax and have some fun, whether by spending time together or enjoying some alone time in privacy.

The generous snack bar in the kitchen is also part of the Coconut tiny's vacation home style. A foldable extension of the countertop, it's not only a practical dining solution but also a perfect addition for summer BBQs. When the weather is right, this entire part of the house, with the spacious lounge and the snack bar, becomes a large, welcoming indoor/outdoor area for guests.

As for the kitchen, it features full-size appliances and generous storage under the countertop, in overhead cupboards, and in the hidden staircase drawers.

If a simple ladder is used to access the elevated lounge, in order to leave ample room for the main-floor living room, an elegant staircase connects the ground floor to the master bedroom. A double-person bed platform is surrounded by generous windows for an extra-luminous and airy effect. The carpeted floors add a touch of luxury to this spacious, cozy loft. The same type of woven string railing adds privacy without blocking the view, and it matches the bohemian-style light fixture.

A contemporary take on the weekender on wheels concept, the Mobi 06 Coconut is perfectly fit for permanent residence as well. Ingenious tiny homes like this can help anyone feel at home and on vacation at the same time.
