It's been a little over a month since we've last seen a donk, and back then, we covered a fully-restored 1971 Chevrolet Impala that was looking for a new home. This Caprice, however, which is from the same model year, sits on the more exotic side of the realm.
Actually, you may want to make that digital realm, as this '71 Chevy Caprice was sketched out by 412donklife on Instagram earlier in the week. And we've got to admit that despite the flashy overall makeover, it is one interesting proposal that deserves its 15 minutes of fame.

The Raspberry Metallic finish helps it stand out in the plethora of donks that feature far more conventional paint jobs. Instead of the usual chrome trim, this one has gold accents all around, including on the front and rear bumpers, on the grille, headlamp surrounds, side trim, and other parts.

No donk would be veritable without a set of oversized alloys, and this old-timer Caprice ticks this box, as well. Sporting an intricate design, the wheels came from Forgiato and measure 28 inches in diameter. They mix the same colors as the rest of the exterior, have wide lips, and are hugged by thin rubber to better fit under the arches.

What about the interior, you ask? Well, it is barely visible in the digital illustrations shared in the gallery above. However, we can see that it has a caramel-flavored theme. Usually, real donks have a steering wheel pattern that mirrors the look of the alloys, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Either way, a proper look inside would have been welcomed.

Needless to say, at the time of writing, this 1971 Chevrolet Caprice that only exists in Fantasy Land has only received feedback from the social media users who dropped comments on the post embedded at the end of this story. The car looks very clean, and it certainly deserves to be noticed by someone who owns the real thing and is looking for inspiration. That way, it would finally escape the rendering world.

Do you know what would make it even better? Modern suspension and brakes, a good air conditioning system, and a powerful V8 engine under the hood, preferably assisted by a large supercharger for boosted output and torque. A modified LS motor would fit the bill, and depending on how much power it has, it could turn this classic ride into a force to be reckoned with down the quarter mile.

Since we are still in the daydreaming mode, we might as well ask if this Caprice donk is your cup of tea and if you'd ever own such a ride that could be deemed flashy by some petrolheads.
