Renaultsport UK 2010 Trackday Calendar Announced

Renault’s hot vehicle arm, the division that oversees the production of the Megane 250, the Clio 200 and the Twingo 133 Renaultsport has released the 2010 UK trackday calendar, inviting owners to this year’s events.

This year’s Renaultsport trackdays sees the addition of two famous British circuits, Silverstone and Oulton Park and extends past the UK borders, with the addition of a special event at the Spa-Francochamps circuit in Belgium. The 2010 season will also feature a special, adrenaline-packed evening stage, scheduled to be held at the Bedford Autodrome.

The UK Renaultsport trackdays debuted in 2002, as a result of the fact that Britain is the division’s largest market. The program aims to improve the participants’ driving abilities - every round of the season offers participants special trainings, carried out with instructors that offer tailor-made advice.

The drivers receive instructions from the Renaultsport instructors and can later take the wheel for a true demonstration ride. The season kicks off on March 21 at the Silverstone race track. The Spa-Franchochamps stage will follow on the May 25. The next race will be held at the Bedford Autodrom, on June 11. This is followed by the Outlon Park Event, scheduled to take place on July 7. The last stage of the season will be held at the Sivlerstone Circuit, on August 4.

Renaultsport trackdays are the ideal way of letting our customers share our passion for Renaultsport, as well as giving them the opportunity to realise the full potential of their cars in a safe and laid-back atmosphere. The tuition provides invaluable experience to improving skill levels.” said Phil York, Renault’s Marketing Director
