Various media sources report that Renault will finally make a step towards reviving the Alpine brand, by unveiling a spiritual successor to the Alpine sports coupes, with the move expected to take place this Friday in Monaco, when the carmaker is expected to hold a special event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the A110 Berlinetta.
A rendering of the study was also released, with this using the Alpine A110-50 Concept name. However, the image doesn’t seem to be anything else than a virtual tuning for the Renault DeZir Concept, which made its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

However, this doesn’t change the fact that Renault will finally give us a 21-st century Alpine, so we’re really looking forward to Friday, when we should receive the full details of the concept.
