When looking for crash videos which prove a point, and from which we can learn to avoid the given situations, we look for those which are slightly harder to explain, and try to find the answer. Some are very obvious, while others remain unexplained, despite us having watched them numerous times.
This low speed crash is very odd, as we simply don`t understand why the Renault Symbol sedan veered to the right, the way it did. The driver does not appear to have pulled the handbrake, and the car pulls very strongly to the right, as if being pulled by a powerful invisible force, towards the parked cars.
This is one of those unexplainable videos, which we have a hard time understanding, yet it is eloquent because it reminds us just how dangerous driving on iced- and snowed-up roads really is.
It is possible that there were grooves cut into the layer of ice which covered the road, and the car may have acted erratically when the driver got out of the grooves with the front wheels, only for the rears to remain lodged in, and then snap out, sending the car on the trajectory that it took.
