Renault today announced that its engine plant in Brazil will see its production capacity increase by 25 percent between now and next year. In addition to that, the plant, which was inaugurated in 1999 the Ayrton Senna production site in Curitiba, will have its surface extended by 5,000 square meters, with the aim being to jump from 400,000 to 500,000 units per year.
The production site has built almost 2.5 million powerplants so far, of which 335,813 were brought to the world last year. 1.2 million engines produced there were exported to South American markets.
