While not as prolific as Toyota, for example, Honda always takes care of its fame and fortune across the North American region. And when they're not doing so in the real world, the virtual realm quickly comes to aid.
Toyota has had a tidal wave of novelties this year for America and is also ready to steal the spotlight at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show next month when it will probably unleash the XV80 ninth generation Camry mid-size sedan to better fight the eleventh iteration of the Honda Accord. We are still determining what the latter has in store for the traditional fall season, but the imaginative realm of digital car content creators already has some opinions about what should arrive next.

Some outlets muse about the fourth-gen 2025 Honda Passport mid-size crossover SUV debuting with an equally boxy yet a lot more stylish design to mirror the new Pilot better and help the Japanese automaker properly fight the Toyota Highlander and Grand Highlander. Others believe the 2025 Civic Hybrid is coming to catch the Corolla series off-guard. A few also think that Honda would be better off preparing a quick refresh of the 2025 CR-V compact crossover SUV to make it even better and ready for a new Toyota RAV4.

In Honda's American roster, the best-selling CR-V occupies the middle slot between the all-new 2024 HR-V (starting at a little over $24k) and the Pilot plus Passport mid-size siblings. It kicks off at less than $30k for the 2024MY and offers no less than six trims – of which three are for the Hybrid powertrain. Now, the good folks over at the AutomagzTV channel on YouTube have already dreamt of the sixth generation CR-V's redesign, even though the iteration only appeared last summer.

The latest CR-V is in production for North America in Canada at HCM in Alliston, Ontario, and the United States at two manufacturing facilities - East Liberty, Ohio (ELAP) and Greensburg, Indiana (HMIN). But it only started production since the 2023 model year, so it really doesn't make too much sense to have a facelift too soon, let alone an entirely new generation.

However, the ways of the parallel universes of CGI are always mysterious, so let us check out this unofficial design project with critical thinking. Most likely created via AI software design tools, the traditional front-three quarters POV is quite interesting as it proposes subtle modifications that would make the CR-V a bit more practical yet also even more stylish. Where the pixel master derails the virtual design entirely is at the rear, and that styling is too preposterous even to consider it for wishful thinking second.

Instead, if you want to see a veritable CGI show of AI-assisted force, check out the second video embedded below from PoloTo, where the resident CGI expert shows the potential future of the next Audi Q5 compact luxury crossover SUV, and nothing makes you think it's just a virtual joke. Cool, right?
