Toyota is currently preparing, at home, for the upcoming inaugural edition of the Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show), and, as always, it has a tidal wave of novelties.
As always, this year's expanding event is still packed with edgy concept cars because the Japanese automakers decided to show they don't want to abandon classic car shows just yet. And Toyota is quite prolific with the FT-3e fully electric crossover prototype, its FT-Se sports car EV sibling, the quirky yet lovable IMV 0 modular truck/van concept, the Kayoibako EV minivan, X-Van Gear, Vellfire Spacious Lounge Concept, and the star attractions – Land Cruiser Se and the EPU tiny electric truck that could turn into Ford Maverick's nightmare if it lands in America in series production.

However, believe it or not, that is not all for the fall season. After the 'Land Hopper' trademark proved a nice ruse to attract our attention toward a tricycle EV mobility concept instead of turning out as a mini-Land Cruiser for the off-road compact SUV class, Toyota still has a trump card under its belt. That is simply because they recently teased something cool from the passenger car side of things for the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show – and everyone and their mother is expecting to see the XV80 ninth-generation best-selling Toyota Camry mid-size sedan come out from the shadows.

Of course, the rumor mill is also deeply invested in what is going on with the Camry, and so is the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. As such, it is no wonder that the good folks from the AutomagzPro and AutomagzTV channels on YouTube have some AI-assisted CGI thoughts about the next-gen Japanese mid-size sedan. Even better, the hosts have even extrapolated that Toyota might top out the new iteration with a fresh 'GR Sport' trim in hybrid flavor.

First, the resident pixel master from AutomagzPro went down the classic route of subtly enhancing the visuals of the upcoming XV80 Camry to keep the link intact with traditional buyers. However, while the styling changes are discrete from the eighth to the ninth iteration, the GR Sport attire is anything but. As such, there are lots of aerodynamic enhancements and a bunch of glory red trim pieces to make things more enticing for the mid-size sedan with a hybrid powertrain.

Secondly, the CGI expert from AutomagzTV is way more daring in his or her use of AI-assisted software, so their version of the Camry GR Sport comes out entirely futuristic, not just a restyled XV70 with fresh headlights and new taillights. Of course, this is even more wishful thinking than imagining that Toyota will implement a GR Sport version as the flagship for the next Camry Hybrid. So, which is your favorite – if any?
