After premiering a couple of special editions at home in America for the 2024 model year, Ram Trucks unleashes the power of the mighty TRX in Europe, too. So, here's the 1500 TRX Lunar Edition landing on the Old Continent to wreak some havoc among 'tiny' pickup trucks.
Usually, traditional customers of pickup trucks from Europe would consider a Ford Ranger, Volkswagen Amarok, or Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200 more than enough for their needs. Anything larger is basically overkill on the astonishingly narrow roads of the Old Continent. However, that doesn't mean some people don't crave for the big American cars, SUVs, and trucks.

For them, there are a few official choices like the big Ford Explorer SUV, the sporty Dodge Challenger muscle car coupe and Charger muscle sedan, or the mighty Ram Trucks 1500 series. As you can see, Stellantis takes the icing on the cake because they're preoccupied with keeping the iconic spirit of 'Made in America' alive as much as possible.

The multinational company recently announced the third and fourth representatives of the 'Last Call' special edition series for the departing Dodge Challenger and Charger that crossed the big pond (aka the Atlantic Ocean) to get a taste of the European lifestyle. Those are the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger R/T Scat Pack Swinger, both featuring lots of green on their bodies and retro inspiration.

Now, though, Ram Trucks takes center stage as it celebrates its ongoing partnership with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. The latter has nailed a historical triumph alongside Andrea Adamo during the Maggiora MXGP – securing third position in the race allowed the rider to claim the MXGP 2023 Championship in the MX2 category.

This is the second success in a row since Ram partnered with the factory team after Tom Vialle's overall victory last year. And to coincide with the eighteenth round of the MXGP 2023 Championship, Ram Trucks decided another special edition is just perfect for the European region – the Ram 1500 TRX Lunar Edition that also introduces the unique Ceramic Gray exterior color to the lineup.

If the name sounds familiar, that's because Ram has offered the Lunar Edition on both the 1500 Rebel and TRX since May at home in America, joined by the Ram 1500 Rebel Havoc Edition a little later. Don't ask about the MSRPs for the 2024 model year, though – they're much higher than before as the TRX approaches the end of its lifespan and turns more into a collectible with each passing day.

Back to Europe, this special series includes the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group with a new Ceramic Gray color, 18-inch black bead-lock capable wheel, Surf Blue accent stitching and carbon fiber details in the cabin, along with Alcantara elements, and even a head-up display. Ram Trucks offers the 2023MY 1500 TRX Lunar Edition through the AEC & KWA international partner networks in unspecified numbers – and they also didn't divulge the asking price.
