The German based automaker Opel has recently confirmed that the new Mokka SUV will join its range on the Australian market.
The new Opel Mokka is set to reach Australian soil in the third quarter of this year, joining the other three models that are already there - the Corsa, Astra and Insignia.
The Mokka will be offered in both two- and four-wheel drive, being powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, that makes 103 kW (140 HP) and 200 Nm of torque. Bolted to a six-speed manual transmission, the car will do the 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 9.9 seconds achieving a 6.4 l/100 km (44 mpg) fuel consumption, based on the European driving cycle.
Also, there will be an automatic 6-speed transmission available and the company is thinking of offering even a diesel alternative engine. Pricing was not revealed yet, but it is expected to be around AU$25,000 to AU$30.000.
