Usually, automakers wait a few years to judge the success of a particular premium hatchback before cutting the roof off and making it a convertible. Howerver, Opel is so sure they got the formula right the first time with the Adam that they’re already going ahead with development of the drop-top.
According to Auto Express magazine, this could be ready as ready as early as 2013, since the design work is already done. We expected this, since the roof pillars on the car already looked like they could take a landaulet-type folding fabric roof.

Since the demise of the C3 Pluriel, this style has become quite popular again, and the Fiat 500C (also an Abarth model) and Citroen DS4 Cabrio both use it.

Early next year, Opel will launch a successor to the Astra Twin-Top to be known simply as the Cascada.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
