Citroen has officially presented its DS3 Cabrio, at the Paris Motor Show. It uses a roof mechanism which is very similar to that of the Fiat 500C, as it features a fixed roof, with a sliding soft top, which when fully opened is stowed away in the boot.
The DS3 was already a head-turner, and with this convertible version, its appeal has grown considerably. It is the only convertible that Citroen makes, and it is a much more complete and competent offering than their previous drop-top, the C3 Pluriel which forced its owners to dismantle its roof altogether, in order to get the full cabrio experience.
The DS3 Cabrio will surely be a hit among those ladies who have rejected the Mini Cabrio and the Fiat 500C, yet are still looking for a car which is very similar to both of those - the DS3 also has that extra bit of French ‘je ne sais quoi’ which will definitely be the deal-sealer for many potential buyers.
