McLaren Automotive, formerly known as McLaren Cars, is the British luxury automotive offshoot of the motorsport-focused McLaren Group. Its history started back in 1985, but it only really kicked off in popular consciousness with the arrival of the McLaren F1 in 1992.
Although appreciated worldwide as one of the best sports cars of its era, McLaren went into hibernation after ending the production run of the F1 and didn't return to primetime until 2010 when it became McLaren Automotive and launched its first 21st-century product, the MP4-12C. The first big strategy move came in 2015 with the introduction of the current three-tier model structure that separates its nameplates into the Sports, Super, and Ultimate Series.

The base includes models like the Artura hybrid, while the core Super Series now has the 750S as the flagship. As for the Ultimates, those include quite a lot of entries like the Senna, Speedtail, Elva, or Solus GT. Then there's also the company's first and only grand tourer to date, simply dubbed McLaren GT.

Obviously, the bread-and-butter of the sales is represented by the Artura on the one hand and the fresh 750S coupe and Spider on the other hand if customers don't want a V6 hybrid powertrain because the mighty McLaren M840T engine is still the king of the British supercar hill. McLaren Automotive's final model, which is solely powered by an internal combustion engine, the fresh 750S, is obviously more of a facelifted version of the original best-selling 720S rather than an all-new development.

As such, it won't last too long on the market despite the predecessor's six-year run – it's already close to being made obsolete by higher-powered hybrid supercars. Thus, it is no wonder that some folks already believe that around 2026 or 2027, McLaren could present a proper successor to the 720S and 750S lineage. Some can also do something to speed up the proceeds, by the way, as they are part of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators.

More precisely, here is Giorgi Tedoradze, the Georgia-based industrial designer better known as tedoradze.giorgi on social media, who has a quick CGI idea regarding the next member of the McLaren Super Series. The nameplate remains just as simple as always – the pixel master's latest ideation sketch envisions the arrival of the 2027 McLaren 820S.

Since McLaren uses the numerals to describe the engine's power in 'ps,' it's easy to guess that the artist imagined the 720S and 750S successor with 820 ps or 809 hp onboard. However, there's just a singular POV (for now), and we don't know if this unofficial supercar is ICE-powered or a member of the novel EV pack. Of course, it could also be a hybrid, this time deploying the beloved V8 alongside Artura's Axial Flux e-motor bits and pieces. What do you think?
