Creed star Michael B. Jordan had himself a rough night on Saturday, smashing his blue Ferrari 812 Superfast into a similarly colored Kia Niro on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Thankfully, the actor managed to walk away unharmed and was reportedly not impaired by either drugs or alcohol.
We usually take notice whenever a celebrity plays GTA in real life with their own car, but at the same time, it’s kind of surprising to see this happen to Michael B. Jordan, especially since the actor is a big time Ferrari enthusiast and has even taken part in an official Corso Pilota program earlier this year.

It’s safe to assume that he knows to appreciate and respect his car’s dynamic characteristics, and at least to some extent, be able to keep it under control. He even posted his experience behind the wheel of a 296 GTB on social media, having driven the Italian supercar back in August.

“This is like... an adrenaline rush. That’s crazy,” said Jordan after his date with the 296 GTB.

Now, we could speculate all we want, but it’s unlikely that we’ll ever learn the true cause of this crash unless the man himself puts out a statement, or if a witness comes forward with a detailed description of what happened.

According to TMZ, the police did ask Jordan “What happened?” at the scene, but he didn’t offer an explanation, which is a bit odd, but he’ll probably say what he has to say when he’ll be filling out the police report – which he can do online, as advised by the LAPD. Since the accident didn’t result in any bodily harm, the authorities aren’t likely to come down on him too hard, if at all.

Back to the speculation part, look, the 812 Superfast was named as such for a reason. This is an extremely powerful car, and if you abuse it in any way, you better know what you’re doing in terms of how well you can keep it under control.

The Italian thoroughbred is a front-mid engine, rear-wheel-drive beast, powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, putting down 789 horsepower (800 ps) and 530 lb-ft (718 nm) of torque. With the help of its seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, this bad boy will go from zero to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, before maxing out at 211 mph (340 kph).

As for the damage it suffered, it’s quite extensive but structurally it could be alright, as in fixable. But at the same time, it could also be a complete write-off, so who knows?

Meanwhile, that parked Kia Niro crossover ended up with damage on its driver’s side, but it should definitely be fixable.

In case you’re wondering, Michael B. Jordan has been seen driving this blue 812 Superfast before, including back in 2021 when he was still in a relationship with supermodel Lori Harvey.
