Japanese car sales are really suffering, in China, and one of the hardest-hit of the Japanese automakers is Mazda, which recorded sales 45% poorer than those of the previous month. They only managed to sell 9,511 vehicles the entire month, which was followed by September sales which were 35% down on the previous month’s numbers.
Also, in the first ten months of the year, their combined sales fell 9%, when compared to the same time frame of 2011, selling 157,627 vehicles in total. Along with Toyota, which recorded a 44% drop in sales, in September, Honda which recorded a 54% drop and Nissan with 41%, all the Japanese manufacturers are really feeling the strain of the territorial dispute between the two countries.

If the two countries don’t settle their differences in due time, their sales will continue to drop, and the likes of GM, Ford and the Germans will fill the niche, a niche which they may not be able to get back after everything gets cleared up.
