Everybody loves Ferrari, right? Right. And everybody loves Maserati, there’s no doubt about that. So just how awesome it would be if the two brands joined forces and worked together on a sportscar combining the best they have to offer right now?
It goes without saying this could become the ultimate sportscar, but until that happens, the only thing we can do is to simply imagine how such a model would actually look like.

Artist Carlos Martinez helps us do this with a new rendering that envisions what he calls the Maserati FRoma. Of course, it’s really not that hard to figure out what the whole thing is supposed to be, as the name itself is a mix of Maserati and Ferrari and suggests from the very beginning what you should expect when opening the photo.

And that’s exactly what the rendering imagines, as it shows a cool combination of a Maserati GranTurismo and a Ferrari Roma. The designer has used just the right parts from each of the two in order to blend them together into one single model that looks unique, but at the same time, retains the signature styling of the Italian brands.

The large grille, for example, which clearly dominates the front fascia, is living proof that this car is a creation of the Prancing Horse, while the side air vents show from the very beginning it’s a Maserati we’re talking about here.

And the mix kind of makes sense, as one can easily make a connection between GranTurismo and Ferrari Roma. AThe first thing that comes in mind is the Ferrari F136 V8 engine, which was previously used on the GranTurismo, as well as on the Ferrari California, a predecessor to Ferrari Portofino, the roadster sibling of the Roma.

All in all, Carlos Martinez has beautifully mixed the key parts of these two brands into one model, which many might actually want to see happen. And since there’s obviously a super-small chance for Maserati and Ferrari to join forces for the creation of a so-called FRoma, especially after the brand was handed over to the Fiat Chrysler Group, you’d better not hold your breath for anything like this to see daylight anytime soon.
