The production version of the Lexus LF-CC concept, rumored to be called the RC, might become the first car from Toyota's luxury division to be powered by a turbocharged engine.
According to Mag-X from Japan, the new Lexus coupe will be available by August 2014 with three engines, including a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerplant for the RC 200t version.
In addition, the 300h variant will be using the same hybrid powertrain as the new Lexus IS 300h, while the RC 350 will sport a 2GT-FSE V6 unit. The same source claims that a high-performance RC-F model is in the works to replace the IS-F. However, the 416 HP V8-engined sportscar won't be released until late 2015.
In other Lexus related news, the Japanese luxury automaker has announced its first official appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
