Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has announced its first official appearance at the famous summer extravaganza of cool cars that is the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Hundreds of thousands of people from across Britain and beyond will get to see the all-new IS sports saloon, which made its official motor show debut earlier this year in Detroit.
The IS promises to take the compact executive car segment in a completely different direction from what we've grown accustomed to. Lexus has made it bolder and sharper, a definite eye-grabber from every angle.
The new IS range – which includes the first full hybrid IS model – will be one of the main attractions in Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show on the eve of the festival, July 11th. Visitors will be able to organize short test drives on the day, the first of their kind in Britain.
Joining the IS will be the car that sparked the spindle grille revolution at Lexus, the GS saloon, as well as their only supercar, the LFA.
The LFA has been a regular festival crowd pleaser in recent years, thanks to Gazoo Racing putting its Nürburgring 24 Hours race car through its paces up Goodwood’s hill course and the team will be back this year.
