Lexus has announced that the Inspiration Series has returned to the LC 500 for the 2024 model year, albeit in extremely limited numbers. Thus, if you want one, you should place a deposit as soon as possible, as only 125 copies are destined for North America.
Pricing for the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Coupe Inspiration Series starts at $116,700, including the $1,350 destination charge and the LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series can be yours from $121,900. By comparison, the normal LC 500 Coupe has an MSRP of $99,050 stateside, and the LC 500 Convertible is available from $106,550.
Since they are in the LC 500 configuration, all of them feature the same 471-horsepower (478 ps/351 kW) 5.0-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine with a 7,300 redline. The coupe takes 4.4 seconds to cover the 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph) sprint, and the convertible is two-tenths slower. The lump, combined with the numerous premium amenities, a nicely-tuned chassis, and drop-dead gorgeous looks, make the LC one of the finest two-door GTs on the market.
But you already knew that, so let's proceed to the Inspiration Series, which will start arriving at dealers in early fall. The model features an LC-first color combo mixing Polar Surge Satin with a Deep Blue interior look on the coupe and a Blue rag top on the convertible. The exterior of both variants features a satin lacquer topcoat on the white matte look, contrasted by several black accents, including those on the grille surround, side mirrors, and other elements.
The front bumper canards are said to balance lift, thus improving stability at high speeds, whereas the carbon fiber fixed rear wing, which is exclusive to the fixed-roof variant, further improves the handling. Completing the look on the outside are the 21-inch forged alloys with a matte black finish. Other highlights include the standard carbon fiber roof and the front and rear underfloor braces borrowed from the convertible and added to the coupe. The rear performance dampers and the Torsen limited-slip differential are also included.
Opening the door will reveal the Deep Blue monotone cockpit with gray stitching and a host of Alcantara. Semi-aniline-trimmed seats, bespoke scuff plates with a carbon fiber look, a numbered plaque on the center console that additionally reveals the special nature of each car, and a few other things are standard.
