People from all walks of life have found that their current needs and interests best align with the tiny house movement, so they have chosen to downsize their lifestyle and move into a tiny house. Designers of compact dwellings, on the other hand, recognize the diverse needs of their customers and work closely with them to create unique homes that reflect their individual personalities.
Indigo River Tiny Homes is one of the leading names in terms of custom tiny dwellings, and they always aim to raise the bar in quality and innovation. The latest creation coming out of their Dallas, Texas shed is a true marvel on wheels. Dubbed the "Tree House," the new design is one of the most unique houses they have built so far.

It is a gooseneck tiny based on the company's Entertainer floor plan and incorporates three bedrooms in two stand-up lofts plus a large balcony for outdoor living space. The clever layout maximizes available square footage and offers a truly liveable and comfortable home on wheels for a growing family.

Texas-based Indigo River Tiny Homes has been around since 2017 and has since crafted over forty custom tiny dwellings. Most of the homes the expert team creates are based on their own experience living in a tiny house and knowing what works in a compact space. Moreover, they are very good at listening to customers and adapting the design to suit their needs. This means that no two models coming out of their shed are alike, and that's the beauty of tiny living - the uniqueness and innovation these homes bring into the picture.

The Tree House is an oversized on wheels. It's built on a 38-foot (11.6-meter) trailer base and is 10 feet (3 meters) wide. It also has a 2-foot (0.6-meter) bump out at one end and an 8-foot (2.4-meter) gooseneck balcony extension at the other, bringing the total length of the home to a whopping 48 feet (14.6 meters). This makes it the biggest model designed and built by Indigo River.

As for the interior living space, the Tree House offers 399 official square feet (37 square meters), meaning it's still legally a tiny home, but the actual interior square footage, including the two lofts, is 550 square feet (51 square meters). The designers really had enough space to work with to create a magnificent dwelling that offers a high level of comfort, suitable for the minimalist life of your dreams. The well-configured interior means all areas of the home are easy to access and almost as commodious as a traditional brick-and-mortar home.

But before seeing what the interior of this house has to offer, let's take a look at the exterior. The Tree House boasts cedar cladding all around, with an accent wall up front and gorgeous details like live-edge cedar slabs that run along the bottom edge of the accent and the bottom edge of the trailer. Towards the gooseneck extension, there is a large storage shed that runs the whole width of the house and can be accessed from either side.

Upon entering the house through a yellow single door, you're struck by how spacious and comfortable the interior feels. The living room is so cozy that it makes you want to curl up, relax, and cocoon from the rest of the world, the kitchen is huge and allows multiple cooks to work together without bumping into each other, the bedrooms have a homey ambiance, and the bathroom is modern and functional.

What's more, thanks to the extra width, it doesn't feel cramped at all, and there is plenty of space to move around. You basically have the perfect recipe for comfortable, full-size living in a tiny home.

The interior is characterized by a contemporary design defined by simplicity, clean lines, and a concise color palette made up of neutrals and a bold turquoise accent that is used on all the furniture inside the house. The walls are white and the windows are large, which only means brightness and openness. All these elements work together to create a warm and serene space with easy sophistication.

At the entrance, there is a small landing flanked by two staircases leading to the lofts, and right in front is the gorgeous full kitchen with turquoise cabinetry, low-maintenance quartz countertops, and a nice onyx stone backsplash.

A farmhouse sink, four-burner cooktop, low-profile microwave, drawer dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator ensure the functionality of the cooking space.

For the inhabitants' dining needs, there is not one but two dining bars - one underneath a large window and one on the kitchen side - with enough space to seat six people.

The spacious living area easily fits a full-size sofa facing a TV nestled into an alcove and mounted on the wall at eye level. The space is also furnished with a round side table and a storage unit, while at the far end of the room, there is a cozy window seat in the bump-out.

At the opposite end of the house, the first-floor layout is completed by the bathroom, which is spacious enough to fit all the essentials for a family's sanitary needs, including a jetted bathtub, a toilet, a vanity with sink, and space for a washer/dryer.

As for the sleeping arrangements inside the Tree House, although there are only two lofts, the designers somehow managed to integrate three bedrooms. They even did it without using the gooseneck space, as that is dedicated to the balcony. And they didn't use magic either.

The talented team just used their creativity and made exceptional use of the available space. Two of the bedrooms share the same lofted space and are separated by a Jack and Jill-style shelving system that offers the occupants much-needed privacy. Both sleeping spaces offer full-standing height and fit full-size beds, and the one overlooking the downstairs even has a nice balcony with solid handcrafted cherry wood railing.

The master bedroom above the bathroom also has enough headroom to stand upright and includes a king-size bed platform, a full-size closet, and a big chest of drawers with a huge mirror above it. From this bedroom, you have direct access to the gooseneck balcony, which is covered and offers 80 square feet of outdoor living space. There is enough room to fit a table set and a cabinet with a sink and draining board, as well as an integrated wine fridge.

This balcony is a really unique feature in a tiny home and offers the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening chat with a friend.

All the wood trims used inside the house are solid cherry wood, and both the interior balcony and the outside one have exquisite metal tree decorations on the railings, showcasing once again the building team's excellent craftmanship.

Indigo River outdid themselves yet again with this tiny house design, which would certainly allow a family to fulfill their tiny living dream in style and comfort. It stands out not only with its extensive roster of unique features but also the attention to detail and the use of top-notch materials that ensure it will last for generations.

The move-in ready Tree House model presented here costs about $275,000, but the base price for a tiny house of this size and floor plan is $175,000.
