This oversized home on wheels is more than a spacious and well-configured dwelling. It sits on a recycled semi dry van trailer, and its stunning interior design harmoniously integrates several rustic items that were lovingly restored.
In the world of tiny living, a 48-foot (14.6 meters) single-level home is an attractive alternative due to its high level of comfort. All parts of the home are easy to access and almost as spacious as a conventional family home. This beautiful custom build by Style & Grace Homes gets its name, the Industrial Chic Semi, from an unusual combination of a luxurious industrial-style design and an old cargo trailer (a semi dry van trailer).

Tiny living is often about sustainability and circular economy, and we've seen many vintage campers, trains, or buses turned into perfectly comfortable dwellings. The Industrial Chic Semi was born as a way to breathe new life into an old dry van trailer. The double-axle trailer is CSA-approved and boasts a sturdy industrial-grade metal frame rated for up to 45,000 lbs (20,400 kg).

The house itself combines a steel frame with plywood exterior walls, complete with cedar board siding. It's equipped for year-round living and meant to last for generations. Building a tiny home on this type of trailer has several benefits. First, the added length resulted in a truly spacious single-level configuration with above-average storage. Compared to standard flat-bed tiny home trailers, a home built on a semi dry van trailer sits higher, which means better views all around.

A large kitchen sits at the heart of this gorgeous family home. The live-edge epoxy countertops add a rustic touch to the overall industrial style. And we're talking 17 feet (5.1 meters) of countertop space, more than enough for comfortable cooking in a tiny house. The storage is also double compared to typical tiny homes, thanks to numerous cabinets of different sizes.

With fewer space restrictions, this kitchen is free to integrate premium appliances. In addition to the full-size propane fridge and four-burner stove, it boasts a generous double sink. Gorgeous big windows on each side, with stylish black frames, bring in lots of light, making the kitchen seem even bigger. The rustic-style countertop on one side expands into a huge bar seating area – a perfect spot for family dinners.

This dining area seamlessly transitions into the living room. It boasts enough space for a lavish six-foot (1.8 meters) sofa and two chairs. Instead of a basic coffee table, a large banquette doubles as a convenient storage case for personal items.

A large TV can be mounted on the wall, while the French doors at the end of the house ensure the perfect view every time. With a house like the Industrial Chic Semi, spending quality time with family and friends is easy. This stylish living room works both as a cozy sanctuary for private relaxation and an indoor/outdoor space for entertainment.

The main-floor bedroom is another relaxation cocoon. The owner chose a classic queen-size bed, but the space is versatile enough to work with different arrangements, such as an elevator bed. Another large window is added for extra brightness and a connection to the outdoors.

Few tiny home bathrooms are as chic and sophisticated as this one. First, the door that separates it from the living room is a 100-year-old barn door that was restored. Inside, equally old barn boards were used around the large, 36-inch (91 cm) vanity, adding a charming rustic touch. The rectangular mirror with an antique-style frame is part of the same vintage-style décor.

At the same time, this unique bathroom doesn't compromise when it comes to luxury. Its modern appliances include a custom shower with a special epoxy shower pan that turns showering into a spa-like experience. Instead of a boring small window, there's a large skylight that floods the entire bathroom with natural light.

The bathroom is also big enough to integrate a washer/dryer unit and generous storage in the form of elegant, dainty cabinets and shelves.

The Industrial Chic Semi welcomes guests into a charming front foyer, just like a classic-style home. This large transition area is a rare feature when it comes to tiny houses. It features a comfortable bench seat and a generous storage closet. Speaking of storage, the main bedroom also comes with a large wardrobe. In addition to the wonderful large windows with black frames, this custom tiny boasts not just one but two big skylights for a burst of brightness.

Last but not least, an optional deck at the end of the house makes the Industrial Chic Semi lavishly spacious and even more welcoming. It turns the living room area into a generous indoor/outdoor space perfect for summer barbecues.

It's almost hard to believe that this stylish and sophisticated home sits on an old recycled cargo trailer. The Industrial Chic Semi proves that clever design and high-quality craftsmanship can turn old items into gems. The team at Style & Grace Homes wanted to give a second life to these kinds of trailers, and it proved that it can be done with wonderful results.
