A humanoid robot getting out of the Tesla Cybetruck. This is probably something that we will see in reality in the future. But as much as Elon Musk would love watching it, this is not real just yet. Just nice CGI.
Before you start all that 'robots will be taking over the world' nonsense, keep in mind: this video is not some footage captured out there in the street, but just a computer-generated video. So we are all safe, robots are not replacing (all of us) just yet. The Tesla Cybetruck showing up in the video wears a very glossy silver paint that we have never seen on a prototype before.

Furthermore, it displays some dents on the doors, as if it has been shot at. Well, it is definitely not a good idea to shoot at a Cybertruck. Remember what happened to the windows of the vehicle on the night of the official unveiling! They were easily smashed to pieces following blows with a baseball bat and a metal ball. We don’t want to see what happens if it really is shot at.

In the 38 seconds uploaded on YouTube, Sean of SoKrispyMedia pretends to call an Uber. A Tesla Cybetruck shows up, and he is ready to get in together with his luggage.

But then the robot gets out of the car and walks up to him in what it intends to be a friendly approach. The robot picks up the luggage and throws it over the rear end of the electric pickup truck.

The pretending customer asks "Why are you Uber-driving?" The robot replies with an epic answer: "Electricity costs are high!"

It does make sense, considering that prices of electricity have been skyrocketing for the past 18 months. But we are not there just yet.

The robot showing up in the video might trick people into thinking that it is Optimus, which Tesla has been working on for quite some time. Elon Musk has been flirting with the idea of building a humanoid robot for years. He revealed the Tesla Bot back in 2021.

He said that the robot would be ready for production by 2023. The year is inching closer to the end, and the Tesla Bot is nowhere in sight. Tesla has hardly managed to kick off production of the Cybertruck at the Giga Texas, the model that they unveiled in November 2019. That was almost four years ago.

So, it seems that there is still a long way for the humanoid robot to come close to its production stage. Tesla designed the robot to eliminate dangerous, repetitive, and boring tasks. It is 5'8" (1,77 m) tall and weighs 125 pounds (56.6 kilograms). It walks at a maximum of 5 mph (8 kph) and is able to carry 45 pounds (20.4 kilograms).
