How to Turn Left on Icy Inclined Road

Going down an ice and snow-covered road is very tricky in any sort of car, regardless of what tires it has or what sort of car it is, as some degree of sliding is to be expected. The driver of this Ford Taurus estate attempts to make a left turn, while going down a slippery road, and he succeeds, eventually, but not in the way he was hoping.
As it goes down the road, the driver predictably loses control, and despite the car being equipped with ABS, it does little to slow it down. Approaching an intersection, further down the road, the driver swerves to the left, attempting to make a left turn, on an adjacent street, as well as avoiding the impact with a truck which was waiting at the aforementioned intersection.

Apparently, in Michigan, the state where this video was shot, people expect this kind of thing, and position themselves, with cameras at spots prone to such situations occurring - this is one of the first of the season, but we expect to see more, a lot more, in the following weeks.
