Lada Does Pirouette on Wet Road - Doesn’t Crash!

Driving a rear-wheel-driven old car on a wet road is very tricky, regardless of how much power it has. Factor in bad tires and suspension in less-than-optimal condition, and you have the perfect recipe for a ‘tête à queue’.
This Russian driver gets ‘nudged’ by a truck from the other lane, and expertly completes a full 360-turn. Miraculously, the car isn’t hit by any oncoming cars, and stays in the correct lane, throughout the spin. Of course, this time it was the falut of the truck driver, but if the driver would have been at the wheel of something with more modern underpinnings, he or she could have regained control much quicker.

There is, however, the element of luck, which renders airbags, crumple zones and strengthening beams useless, regardless of how new or safe your ride is.
