We first met the Honda CR-V at this year’s Paris Motor Show in October and it was just the prototype version showcased there. Two months later now and the SUV looks ready for production as the automaker just released the first pictures with the model. And guess what, the production version looks the same on the outside with the prototype. The only differences comes at the interior, where it gets a reshaped chromed trimming running on the dashboard and a sliding armrest.

Oh, and you can also add a new 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine making 160 hp and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque as part of the Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology series. The unit can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a new 9-speed automatic gearbox and optional 4-wheel drive.

The rest of the engine range includes a less powerful 120 hp 1.6 i-DTEC with manual gearbox turning only the front wheels and the older 155 hp 2-liter i-VTEC gasoline unit that is now Euro6 compliant.

Convenience features include Honda’s new Connect system, with apps and a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, rear camera, cruise control and optionals like Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, power tailgate, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, adaptive cruise control and memory seats.

Pricing and full specs are not available at the moment, but do stick around as they should be just around the corner.
