Boldly restyled and significantly enhanced for the 2015 model year, the revamped Honda CR-V adds a new reworked powertrain, with the addition of new or improved features and a new premium Touring trim level. Slated to go on sale on October 1st, the refreshed compact crossover will hold a starting manufacturer's suggested retail price of $23,320.
That is if you go for the most basic of the entry-level LX model, coming as standard with front-wheel drive and an Earth Dreams Technology 2.4-liter direct injection i-VTEC gasoline-fed engine mated to a CVT gearbox. In fact, that's the only engine available, but with this mid-cycle facelift, engineers made it a little bit more frugal, with fuel economy ratings increasing 4 mpg city / 3 mpg highway / 3 mpg combined over the 2014 model year CR-V with front-wheel drive.

The previously mentioned mpg improvements apply to the all-wheel drive 2015 Honda CR-V as well, now boasting with 26 mpg city / 33 mpg highway / 28 mpg combined. To summarize other upgrades coming on the entry-level LX, customers get a mildly redesigned exterior and cabin, as well as sliding sunvisors and a center console with an armrest incorporating rear air ducts.

What about other available trim levels?

Step up to the EX ($25,420 for the FWD model) and Honda throws in things such as heated front seats, a 7-inch display audio system, 10-way power driver's seat, 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights and such.

If you need even more kit thrown in as standard, then the EX-L ($28,020 in FWD guise) might float your boat with its auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather on the seats and steering wheel, dual zone automatic climate control, roof rails, heated side mirrors and a more powerful stereo. As for the EX-L Navi ($29,520 for the FWD model), its name tells you this specification adds sat nav and HD radio.

But wait, there's more! A new trim level has been added with the 2015 model year. Baptized Touring, this $31,520 specification adds over the EX-L stuff such as special badging, projector headlights, side mirror turn signal lights, driver's memory seat, 18-inch rollers, adaptive cruise control, a power tailgate and an extensive suite of active and passive safety features.
