In production since 2018, the fifth-generation Subaru Forester has just entered the 2024 model year. The SUV will start arriving at dealers this fall, the automaker claims, and it has become a bit pricier compared to its predecessor.
While the 2023 Forester used to start at $26,495, interested parties will have to pay at least $26,895, excluding destination, for the entry-level 2024 model. This trim level gets LED headlights, remote keyless entry, a 6.5-inch infotainment system with smartphone compatibility, a color LCD, power windows and door locks, and electrically-adjustable side mirrors. The 17-inch alloys and black roof rails with tie-down points are part of a package that costs $625.

For the 2024 Forester Premium, Subaru is asking at least $30,095. This version comes with 17-inch alloys, heated side mirrors, a power moonroof, an electrically-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry with push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Subaru says the LED fog lamps and the roof spoiler finished in black are new for 2024. An option package that adds more safety gear is available on this grade, adding $1,165 to the MSRP.

Priced from $31,665, the 2024 Forester Sport brings unique exterior and interior appointments, rides on 18-inch wheels, and gets a black roof spoiler. There are some orange accents decorating the profile, and inside, it comes with dark gray cloth upholstery stitched together with red string. It sports additional safety gizmos compared to the lesser variants and can be ordered with the 8-inch infotainment system, Harman Kardon audio, and reverse automatic braking for an extra $1,645.

Kicking off at $34,720, the Forester Wilderness follows, sporting increased ground clearance and extra features that improve its off-road prowess, like the 17-inch alloys wrapped in all-terrain tires, a front skid plate, and others. StarTex seating surfaces can be found inside, alongside the all-weather floor mats and cargo tray. Subaru's option package available here costs $1,850 (MSRP) and adds a power tailgate, and the Harman Kardon audio, and 8-inch infotainment screen mentioned above.

The Forester Limited can be yours from $33,775. It builds on the Premium grade, to which it adds 18-inch alloys in black, body-colored side mirrors with integrated turn signals, black fog lamp covers, 8-inch infotainment, dual-zone climate control, power tailgate, leather-trimmed upholstery, and silver metallic and glossy black trim. The same option package as the one available on the Sport can be ordered on the Limited, costing the same amount of money.

Finally, the Limited tops the range priced from $37,195. It comes with gesture control, heated rear seats (outboard), a heated steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats with memory setting for the driver, leather-trimmed upholstery in saddle brown or black, and a few special touches on the outside.

All versions of the 2024 Subaru Forester pack the same 2.5-liter boxer engine, making 182 hp and 176 lb-ft (239 Nm) of torque, which is paired with a CVT.
