Hennessey has done it again. They've taken the already powerful Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, giving it a monstrous amount of power that would make the punchiest BMW M3 out there jealous. Heck, it's so powerful that it can send shivers down the spines of supercars.
Equipped with the Lone Star State tuner's H1000 package, it now boasts 1,000 brake horsepower (1,014 ps/746 kW) and 966 pound-feet (1,310 Nm) of torque. Hennessey says it needs only 2.5 seconds to hit 60 mph (97 kph). They also claim the top speed exceeds the 200 miles an hour (322 kph) mark, mentioning the new quarter-mile time, which is 10.1 seconds.

To anyone keeping track, that's a full second quicker than the stock CT5-V Blackwing, whose supercharged 6.2-liter V8 power unit produces 668 hp (678 ps/498 kW) and 659 lb-ft (893 Nm) without anyone messing around with its internals and is mated to either a six-speed manual or a ten-speed automatic gearbox. An unmolested copy will run out of breath at over 205 mph (330 kph).

But what did Hennessey do to the engine to make it this punchy? They improved the intake, exhaust valves, pushrods, and lifters, gave it long-tube stainless steel headers, ported cylinder heads, and a high-flow supercharger that replaced the stock one. It has an auxiliary fuel system upgrade and new software that backs everything up, and the output and torque are dyno-proven. All their builds are tested in the lab and on the road for up to 500 miles (805 km) to make sure that everything works as it should.

What else does the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing equipped with the H1000 package have besides the insane power? That would be the Hennessey and H1000 logos on the outside and a serial numbered plaque in the engine bay. That's right, the tuner kept it simple, as there is no weird body kit here to ruin the design for more look-at-me credit. Professional installation is included at Hennessey, and for extra peace of mind, each car is accompanied by a two-year/24,000-mile (38,624-km) warranty, whichever comes first.

As you probably already knew, the power upgrade applies to the Blackwing version of the CT5-V only, and it is not available for the non-Blackwing model that features a V6 with twin-turbocharging, kicking out 360 hp (365 ps/269 kW) and 405 lb-ft (549 Nm). The normal CT5-V takes 4.6 seconds to hit 60 mph (97 kph) and has a top speed of 156 mph (251 kph).

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing H1000 production will kick off this August, and pricing has yet to be released. Still, Hennessey encourages interested parties to reach out to them should they have any questions on the topic, and if you do, don't forget to drop a line below and tell us how much it costs.
