The Chevy Van – also known as the G-series vans and GMC Vandura – was a significant range of panel and passenger vans produced by General Motors for more than three decades, between 1964 and 1996.
They were paired against the Ford Econoline, for instance, and quickly became just as iconic as their competitor for one big reason that had less to do with their prowess and more with people's imagination – their continued portrayal in Hollywood and television movies and TV shows, respectively.

Have you seen a heist movie from the period? Then, most likely, you have also seen the thugs using a Chevy Van, GMC Vandura, or Ford Econoline as a means to escape with the loot. Have you seen Scooby-Doo cartoons? Then you'll know that the Mystery Machine is mostly a Chevrolet G10, and people have been recreating it in real life on countless occasions.

Of course, one of the most (in)famous depictions of the full-size van is also the product placement of a 1983 GMC Vandura customized to suit the preferences and style of MR. T's character B. A. Baracus in the beloved 1980s television series The A-Team. Now, whenever a show fan sees a black GMC Vandura, with or without red accents on the body, they probably can't help humming the intro of the series.

Well, let's start the humming with a bit of help from the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Dimas Ramadhan, the virtual automotive artist behind the Digimods DESIGN channel on YouTube, has recently taken up the task of revealing the revived 2024 GMC Vandura. But how did he arrive at the panel van conclusion?

Well, through a series of uninspiring minivan projects, if we are to believe his reel. Those include the barely likable 2025 Hyundai Starex, the mega-awkward 2024 or 2024 Isuzu Traga Blind Van, the semi-interesting Nissan NV350 Caravan facelift, or the all-new VW Routan, Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro, and Toyota Hiace. Seriously, if you didn't catch my drift, I will put it out bluntly – this pixel master has a major big van fetish in a time when everyone is running away from them.

Anyway, while none of those examples are too worthy of our attention – we already gave them more than enough credit when simply mentioning them, although beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, so we won't hold a grudge if you check out every video with them – the potential 2024 GMC Vandura revival is a whole different story altogether.

Interestingly, the CGI expert also hints at the potential platform carrier for the reinvented GMC Vandura – the front fascia and even the rear lights give off strong vibes of GMC Sierra HD pickup truck inspiration. And, come to think about it, that idea is not all preposterous – a Sierra HD-based GMC Vandura would feature colossal payload and towing capabilities, a robust platform for additional variants, and also lots of interior space.
