If you ask any millennial what their favorite cartoon characters were when they were little, chances are Scooby-Doo would rank high on their list of preferences. The beloved talking dog from the American cartoon series by Warner Bros. Discovery has marked the childhood of many kids who grew up watching the Scooby Gang save the day from greedy grownups and bizarre phenomena.
An unforgettable prop in the popular animated series is the Mystery Machine, a groovy van with a psychedelic paint job embellished with flower power imagery. Indonesia-based tuner Concept Motorsport has tried to recreate the unmistakable hero car using the Volkswagen ID. Buzz as a blank canvas.

Though the original Mystery Machine is believed to be either a 1960s Chevrolet G-Body panel van or a Dodge A100, the recently released VW ID. Buzz is a great candidate for a custom Scooby-Doo themed wrap due to its retro design. This impressive homage to the cartoon van features the same psychedelic colors seen on the original Mystery Machine and will catapult fans of the animated series back into the 70s.

To achieve this unique look, Concept Motorsport has used vinyl wrap created by TeckWrap. It's an almost accurate copy of the design of the original Mystery Machine, with the front bumper and part of the door panels painted in bright green and the rest of the van body, the pillars, and the roof wearing a nice turquoise hue. Along the sides, apart from the flower power imagery, the tuner also added the Scooby Gang characters. Velma, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and, of course, Scooby are seen peeking from behind a wave-like pattern.

Concept Motorsport Indonesia went even further with the customizations and overhauled the suspension of the ID. Buzz. The tuner equipped the van with a set of KW V3 coilovers specially developed for the VW ID. Buzz. Made of stainless steel in Germany, these coilovers not only provide a customizable lowered ride height but they also improve handling. The coilover set includes high-quality dampers and springs that should help minimize pitching and rolling movements during acceleration, braking, and cornering.

A set of aftermarket wheels with black spokes and chrome barrels completes the list of modifications made to this custom VW ID. Buzz, which is now well-equipped to chase ghosts down spooky country roads.

The retro-looking ID. Buzz van launched globally last year, and it quickly became the most popular EV in the German market. It has already started to arrive in customers' hands in many other markets around the world, but US deliveries are set to start in 2024. North American shoppers will receive a reworked version that is 6.9 inches (175 mm) longer and equipped with a larger 91 kWh battery compared to the 82 kWh pack on the van offered overseas.

According to the Volkswagen, demand for the ID. Buzz currently exceeds production, so the German carmaker could significantly boost production numbers next year when the van is expected to reach the US.
