Probably the last new car we're showing you from the 12th Indian Auto is also the most important, because it has the clear potential to be a global product.
It all started with a rumor a rumor back in 2012, which suggested Ford was prioritizing small cars for the global market. Round about mid-summer 2013, we learned that of the all-new Ka, a five-door city car that was ignoring the current Fiat 500 formula and going for the affordable car market like the original Ka.

Markets like India and Brazil are crucial for its success, and so Ford is also working on derivatives, this being one of them, the Figo Sedan. Previewed as a design study during the Auto Expo, it cuts a dashing shape in a bright shade of metallic red.

There's no ifs or buts about this car. It will enter production and will do so quite soon, powered by a new Ford 1.5-liter diesel engine and the 1-liter EcoBoost. The platform is, from our understanding at least, derived from the old Fiesta, the one sold until 2008. If looks alone could sell cars, Ford's new Figo sedan could be a winner.
