The good folks over at Atlanta, Georgia-based Road Show International, usually have a 'subtle' treat that may or may not cause fans to run amok crying for their luxury or ultra-luxury SUV, as well as their high-performance passenger car. But what about a truck?
Well, it has been quite a long time since they last modified a truck, if you do not count the Graystone-dressed Ford Bronco Wildtrak looking almost murdered-out that was followed by all the usual suspects – widebody Urus, glossy or matte gray S-Class Maybachs, a couple of SUVs (Range Rover and a Cullinan, of course), plus a bonkers Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat! Before them, there was also a 12-inch lifted Ford Super Duty posing with its 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 Turbo diesel for the camera, all fancy in white and Slime Green.

Just in case that one was a bit nauseating, they have yet another Ford F-450 Super Duty (Platinum dually) showing its RS Edition credentials to anyone willing to notice that this is no more of a workhorse than a mouse was as big as its ultimate, lifted lifestyle. Dressed in a Pearl Metallic white exterior with many red accents and a Rawlings interior, this HD pickup truck is probably better at show car appearances than towing, even if it too has the 6.7-liter turbo diesel under the hood with 475 horsepower, 1,050 lb-ft (1,424 Nm) of maximum torque, plus the desire to make you hold on to dire life when accelerating to 62 mph (100 kph) in just nine seconds onto a top speed of 150 mph (241 kph).

But it's not the performance credentials that will raise an eyebrow or arouse fans (depending on everyone's POV) rather than the RS Edition goodies. Those start with the Retrax Pro MX bed cover, crimson brakes/headlights/mirror package, continue with the Any Level Lift 12-inch kit (with app) featuring an airbag sub-frame, white/red powder-coated suspension, and don't wrap up with the 30-inch chromed wheel and A/T tire package. That's because other highlights also include the RGB LED lights pack, LED wheel rings controlled by Bluetooth, RS Smoke Exterior Lighting Package, plus all the other usual RS goodies – nano-ceramic window plus windshield tint, ceramic paint coating protection, and a matching two-tone tag frame.

In the end, this might not be everyone's cup of tea. But I see just one reason for that – from the inside, it doesn't feel like you are riding inside a fully customized one-off lifted truck if you don't count the higher POV. Instead, the cockpit is just like Ford imagined it for a Platinum Super Duty. Also, although this may be of lesser importance, we are dealing with a fourth-generation F-Series transformation rather than the latest Super Duty. And already, other aftermarket outlets – like Roush – have started showcasing their goodies for the 2023 Super Duty, so maybe this one will be a little late at the party?
