Dodge infiltrates a teaser of its upcoming Charger in a Christmas advert and thinks it can get away with it. It is a drawing of the future generation showing up on a page in a book.
"Trying to get on Santa’s nice list?" the voiceover asks in the commercial, eventually recommending to "better think twice," because there is a list that is way better for those who have the vice of speed.

Turning the pages of the book leads us to one special drawing, which is reportedly the upcoming Dodge Charger. The design of the model should be the production correspondent to the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee concept car that the carmaker unveiled in August 2022 to preview the design of the next-gen muscle car.

The car drawn in the book showing up in the advert does resemble the concept car, but with several modifications. It sports circular headlights instead of the LED strip stretching from one side to the other of the front fascia. It is an old-school feature that purists will surely find familiar and love about the upcoming car.

On the other hand, even the die-hard fans of the Charger were enthusiastic when Dodge announced that the production version would look very much like the concept car.

What they might not like very much is the toned-down appearance. The tiny side mirrors seem to be replaced by larger units, while conventional door handles show up instead of the flush ones. The car in the drawing also sports a restyled front bumper.

The small-letter message showing up in the lower side of the screen reads "Production model shown for illustration purposes only. Available late 2024." So that is when we should expect the next-generation Charger. That means that Dodge should be inching closer to the official unveiling of the model.

The narrator in the advert suggests that Santa’s naughty list is more interesting to be on for those who prefer muscle cars. And Doge has just the right idea to take them there. The advert also shows a Durango and a Challenger keeping the outgoing-generation Charger company. In fact, all three of them have their days numbered.

Wishing "Happy Holidays to all with not-so-silent nights!" is a reference to the HEMI V8 that Dodge is dropping for the lineup. The carmaker has already built the last HEMI and is planning to offer muscle cars with electric powertrains.

But there is also going to be an ICE-powered variant of the Charger. It will reportedly receive the Hurricane V6 engine that made its debut in the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs with 420 horsepower (426 PS).

As for the electric powertrains, the lineup should include a single-motor rear-wheel drive version with 402 horsepower (408 PS), a dual-motor, all-wheel drive with 670 horsepower (680 PS), and a top-of-the-line Charger with 885 horsepower (897 PS), which might get a tri- or a quad-motor setup.
