Sadly, but not entirely unexpected, Alfa Romeo's Quadrifoglio family (Giulia and Stelvio) will not make it into the 2025 model year guise in North America alongside other defunct nameplates like the Chevy Camaro, Nissan Titan, Ford Escape, Maserati Ghibli, Mitsubishi Mirage, or the mighty Ram 1500 TRX.
Luckily, they're only on hiatus because the Italian automaker is pushing the pedal to the metal with its recent soft revival – the Giulia mid-size sedan and Stelvio crossover SUV are now the oldest representatives from the company, even though they were recently and thoroughly refreshed. After that, Alfa has presented quite a lot of novelties in quick succession, especially considering the prior lack of ideas.

First came the Tonale compact crossover SUV, which also represented Alfa's first foray into hybrid territory with the plug-in hybrid version. It didn't come alone, as a few lucky customers (33 of them, to be more precise) now await delivery of the reborn Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale supercar, which is expected with both the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged 690T V6 (developed from the one on the Giulia Quadrifoglio) as well as an all-electric powertrain option.

However, none of them cause as much ruckus as the recently introduced subcompact crossover SUV – which is Alfa's first series-produced EV and a close relative of the Stellantis group of B-class CUVs like the Peugeot 2008 II, Opel Mokka B, DS 3 Crossback, Lancia Ypsilon IV, Jeep Avenger, and Fiat 600e, especially their all-electric variants. Initially announced as the Alfa Romeo Milano in April 2024, the new car quickly sparked controversy not just because it features another all-new styling ethos that isn't common with either the Giulia and Stelvio or Tonale but especially because Stellantis got into a big feud with the Italian officials over the name that's inspired by the city of Milan.

The nameplate was then renamed Alfa Romeo Junior just five days after it was presented, with the nameplate being evocative of a trim level of the 105- and 115-series Giulia coupes used in the 1960s. However, more importantly, it could pave the way forward for the Alfa styling into the new age of the electric revolution. The corner office head honchos have previously stated that the next Giulia won't be ICE-powered anymore. Still, recent developments across the EV market lend hope towards a dual EV and hybrid approach.

At least that's what the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has unofficially pushed forward - Dimas Ramadhan, the virtual automotive artist behind the Digimods DESIGN channel on YouTube, has taken up the task of CGI-revealing the next Giulia business sedan as an HEV rather than a fully-fledged all-electric saloon. Even better, the pixel master has adapted the Alfa Romeo Junior styling to Giulia's proportions to create a new iteration that keeps in touch with the Type 952 but also welcomes the new era of styling. Cool or not?
