The 2023 World Series is in full swing, with three games having already concluded between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers, two teams that walked into this year’s MLB Playoffs as clear underdogs, with little chance of making it this far into the postseason.
The Diamondbacks, or D-Backs, as most people call them, are coming off a Game 3 loss to the Rangers, who are now 9-0 away from home this month, leading this series 2-1 after last night’s 3-1 victory. It’s worth pointing out that whenever a best-of-seven MLB postseason series has been tied at 1-1, the team that won Game 3 went on to clinch the series 68 of 99 times (69%).

Meanwhile, teams that held this lead on the road in this current 2-3-2 format went on to win 29 out of 39 times (74%). Does it mean something? Sure, most stats do. But it’s not gospel. The D-Backs could just as easily come back and win the series, and Zac Gallen should prove instrumental if such an achievement is to take place.

Gallen is easily one of the most important players fielded by either of the two teams, and probably one of the best pitchers in all of baseball – at least based on numbers from the past five seasons alone.

Regardless, we were thrilled to find out that Gallen is also kind of a “car guy”, having been hooked up by a Ford dealer with a gorgeous white F-150 pickup truck, featuring the Black Widow package, which adds a 6-inch suspension lift kit with high strength cross members, steering knuckles, and upper control arms, Fox shocks, 35-inch BFGoodrich AT KO2 all-terrain tires, a custom front grille (black), both hood and fender vents, plus bespoke badging inside and out.

Inside each Black Widow F-150 you’ll find custom upholstery with branded headrests and door sill plates, custom stitching, painted trim, and a custom gauge cluster. You wouldn’t want this truck to feel just like any old F-150, now, would you?

Compared to the “generic” F-150 Black Widow used during the product shoot, Gallen’s truck is a lot less flamboyant. It doesn’t have a dual-tone exterior (no black roof), nor does it have a bright colorway. Instead, it’s mostly white, with black accents such as the grille, Black Widow badges and various pieces of trim.

The wheels look incredible though, and they kind of look bigger than the standard 20” ones you get with the Black Widow package. Also, because of the angle, we can’t see if the calipers are red like on most other similar trucks, but let’s assume that they are.

Alternatives

You don’t need to look at other aftermarket specialists if you’re shopping for a different brand pickup to this one. Black Widow Trucks will happily strap their package onto the following models: Chevy Silverado 1500 and 1500 Limited, 2500 HD, Colorado, the Ford F-250, F-350, F-150 Limited, Ranger, the GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 1500 Limited, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD and 2500 HD Limited.
