Older generations of the LX, including the 200 series that bowed out in 2021, are somewhat popular with the overlanding scene. This also stands true with the fourth generation, especially the 2022 model we found at no reserve on Bring a Trailer.
Currently located in Colorado, this fellow racked up just around 13,000 miles on the clock, meaning 21,000 kilometers if you prefer the metric system. Owned by Overland Expo, Chassis number JTJNB7CX2N4010978 was modified by Mule Expedition Outfitters for the 2023 Ultimate Overland Vehicle Build with lots of tasteful mods.

For starters, the LX 600 rocks 17-inch alloy wheels from Icon Vehicle Dynamics. Further upgraded with 33-inch rubber boots from Kenda rather than a European or an American manufacturer, the full-size luxury SUV comes with a matching spare on the rear swing-out carrier. Total Chaos rear links and front control arms, Radflo shocks with remote reservoirs, a CBI swing-out rear bumper, and an ARB Summit MkII front bumper are also featured.

Pretty intense already, but we’re only getting started! The list further includes traction boards that should come in handy off the beaten path, a Prinsu roof rack, ARB Intensity IQ variable focus driving lights, Vision X perimeter lights, a couple of jerry cans, a Comeup front winch rated at 12,500 pounds (5,670 kilograms), and a cozy-looking rooftop tent.

The 23Zero Armadillo A2 is a side-opening hardshell design. Carrying a sticker price of $3,795 at press time, said rooftop tent is joined by a 23Zero Peregrine 270-degree awning that retails at $999. Out back, you’ll find a Goose Gear Ultimate Chef sliding-rack storage system with a Dometic CXF3 12-volt-powered cooler with 46 liters to its name.

Pictured in silver, the LX 600 in the video below also boasts a Self Reliance Medical OTK 1450 first aid kit, a Helinox outdoor table and matching chairs, an off-road tool roll from BOXO USA, a Forest Tool Max tool kit, a Dometic portable water jug (with a faucet for good measure), a Victron auxiliary power management system with a custom housing, and a Victron 200-Ah auxiliary battery.

More than ready for a weekend far away from the urban jungle, chassis JTJNB7CX2N4010978 further sports a Midland MicroMobile MXT575 GMRS two-way radio. However, the rugged front bumper means that Overland Expo had to disable the cruise control to accommodate said bumper.

The rig had a four-wheel alignment done in preparation for the sale. Overland Expo replaced the auxiliary battery and repaired the auxiliary power management system back in September 2023. One month earlier, the 3.4-liter V6 hiding underhood received fresh oil. A cat-back exhaust from MagnaFlow and an Optima yellow-top battery are the only two remaining highlights you should know about if you intend to bid on this marvelous build.

Currently going for $34,500 after five offers, the overlanding LX will find a new buyer on Monday, October 30. The total sale amount is going to Overland Expo Foundation, whose mission is to protect the beauty and exploration of public lands.
