We’ve said it before, celebrities have a tremendous power to change, and they don’t even have to do much while they’re at it. When the son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood is not busy starring in Taylor Swift’s videos, he makes sure he sets out a good example to his over 860,000 followers on Instagram solely.
This time around, the actor’s message was one we care for quite a lot. Scott Eastwood recently got himself a new Ford F-150 but instead of just posing next to it for his social media followers, the youngest son of award-winning actor-director Clint Eastwood also sent out a powerful message.

He told his fans they should buy American-built vehicles in order to support the country and we can’t but agree. As a matter of fact, we’re more than certain this type of marketing would come quite in handy for Ford themselves, especially when it’s a spontaneous act.

Judging by the sale figures, it’s safe to assume that such notices work. After all, the most popular model of the F-Series is the F-150. It has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for the past 32 years. Not to mention it’s the best-selling pick-up for 43 years.

To stay completely fair, we should also say that the automotive industry can’t be concealed to only one country. It’s the 21st century people, everything is global now and thanks to real competition greater models are being unveiled almost yearly. After all, Ford’s popular truck isn’t exactly what you’d call the most fuel efficient of the kind on the market.

Sure, the 2015 model reduces its curb weight by up to 700 pounds through the extensive use of aluminum in the body structure and high strength steel in the frame. However, we think it’s safe to say there’s still room for further improvement.
