Chrysler Names Seven New UK Dealers

American manufacturer Chrysler is beginning its expansion in Europe with the appointment of seven new dealers in the UK. The new dealers will join the other four announced back in July, bringing the total number of new Chrysler stores to eleven.

The new dealerships are Chrysler Stevenage, Chrysler Bishop's Stortford, Chrysler Hertford, Lancaster Southend, Triangle Chesterfield, Sunwin Derby and Drayton Chrysler Jeep & Dodge Shrewsbury. They are spread across the UK and they will all sell the entire Chrysler line-up available in the UK.

"At Chrysler UK we have been busy rebuilding the confidence in our brands. For the first time in three years our dealer network is realising strong, positive levels of return with both operating and direct profits increasing," Federico Goretti, Chrysler UK managing director said in a release.

The confidence generated by the levels of profitability is evident by our appointment of 11 new dealers in the past three months. These new dealers are from both existing partners expanding with their Chrysler representation and new partners joining our franchise for the first time."

But it doesn't end here. Chrysler will appoint an extra six dealerships by the end of the year. According to Chrysler, the new appointments are "founded on the key principles of network profitability and franchise cost reduction."

The dealership expansions continues in Europe as Chrysler is witnessing increasing sales in Europe, posting for September a total number of 5,440 units. Overall, the markets outside North America brought Chrysler a 30 percent increase in sales in the ninth month of the year.
