Oddly enough, while these two shouldn't be compared due to Range's unibody construction and G's body-on-frame chassis, they were made by the same LA-based aftermarket outlet and also have some identical features – including the massive aftermarket wheels and widebody kits.
Usually, we don't mix and match a fifth-generation Range Rover and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class in the same discussion. One is a British luxury crossover SUV that has ample 4x4 capabilities but also a lighter all-aluminum monocoque structure. At the same time, the other is an all-out, off-road-focused premium SUV. However, they are both pricey – the Range Rover starts from $107,400 in America and quickly reaches $234k when selecting the Range Rover SV P615 long wheelbase, while the G-Class goes from $139,900 to $179k in just two configurations.

As you can see, the G 63 AMG is not even the priciest of the two because the Range Rover wants to slowly creep up the ultra-luxury Urus and Purosangue alley. Anyway, while the winter is still raging in some parts of the world, it's never a bad idea to start thinking about an SUV companion for the hot summer days when the night is always young and the town is calling you out loud. So, let's pay a visit to RDB LA in California to see what they have been up to lately. No worries, they're always prepared with something new and cool.

For example, they played with widely opposing stuff like an all-new Tesla Cybertruck or a two-tone Mercedes-Maybach S 680 that didn't shine brightly because of the Metallic and Matte Black wrap but still sparkled thanks to the abundance of chrome details. Anyway, now they also brought a couple of SUVs to our attention, just for good measure.

One is a fully color-matched silver Land Rover Range Rover riding posh on a set of 24-inch RDB Zero wheels and standing out in any crowd thanks to its 1016Industries full widebody aerodynamic kit. It obviously rides like a charm with the blacked-out greenhouse, lowered stance, big 'steelie' aero wheels, and the widebody attire, right? However, maybe you don't want to be labeled as a 'mall crawler?'

Yep, RDB LA has a solution for that, too. It's called the "Hellstar," and it's a Mercedes-AMG G 63 transformed into a Brabus G700 Widestar, which implies a copious power upgrade to around 700 ponies plus loads of ritzy Brabus bits and pieces to make it a widebody wonder. Interestingly, this isn't one of those menacing builds – the light blue tone is fully evocative of warm and sunny summer evenings when the Mercedes almost matches the color of the ocean.

It also rides on the same type of RDB Zero wheels to ensure there's another common element between the G and the RR. So, which one is your favorite, and which one would you take home or inside your dream garage?
