People have been putting Cadillac Escalades on big wheels for a couple of decades now. Nevertheless, while most of those builds are on the ridiculous side of the car world, some of them manage to rock the flashy makeover.
We've seen quite a few of them over the years, including several copies that were part of the latest generation that is a little over three years old, and another one has joined the list. Mind you, it is with a virtual twist this time, as it only exists in the virtual world.
Unofficially dubbed the Silver Bullet (hence the vampire slayer reference in the title) by its creator, 412donklife on Instagram, it is one interestingly fake project. The entire exterior of the large SUV boasts a silver finish from bumper to bumper. The chrome-delete package contributes to the rather sinister makeover, and it has privacy windows all around.
While the silver look may be one thing that makes it stand out, it is the new wheelset that is the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, the pixel manipulator hasn't revealed the exact size of the Forgiatos on which it rides, but we suspect they may be over 30 inches in diameter. The alloys partially sit under the arches in the air suspension's lowest setting.
Due to the horseless carriage approach, we can tell you that you wouldn't want to ride in this vehicle. Not for long periods of time, anyway, as the oversized wheels that were wrapped in ultra-thin rubber have dramatically affected the comfort of the otherwise posh SUV. The turning circle is likely on the ridiculous side of things, too, and this applies to all cars fitted with humongous alloys.
For the next leg of this high-rider's virtual presentation, we will have to pop the hood open, as it hides many horses there. The rendering artist has imagined it with an output that would make the original Bugatti Veyron jealous, as it is in the four-digit zone. The engine is said to produce 1,000 horsepower, so this would be a real brute in a straight-line acceleration.
Without any outside intervention, Cadillac's Escalade-V, which is the specification of the pictured example, enjoys 682 hp (692 ps/503 kW). The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, shared with the CT5-V Blackwing, develops 653 lb-ft (885 Nm) of torque. This big boy is mighty agile to 60 mph (97 kph), taking just 4.4 seconds. For what it's worth, it needs three-tenths under the 13-second mark to run the quarter mile, and it will do it at an exit speed of 110 mph (177 kph).
Now, it's clear that the silver bullet take on it, complete with air suspension and huge wheels, is not everyone's cup of tea, but could it perhaps be your guilty pleasure? We promise we won't judge you if your answer is yes.
