Some say the latest-gen Cadillac Escalade is less refined than its main contenders. Others would always choose this model over everything the segment offers. And no matter where you stand on that, no one can deny the fact that it remains an interesting proposal and one extremely important product for the GM-owned premium car marque.
In fact, it is so important that they have expanded the lineup with a battery-electric version. Adding the IQ suffix, it builds on the Ultium platform, boasts up to 750 horsepower combined from its dual electric motors, and has a driving range of around 450 miles (724 km) with the 200 kWh battery pack fully charged.
Cadillac plans to leave internal combustion engines behind by the end of the decade, as their future models will only be powered by electricity. Therefore, you don't have that many years to decide whether the ICE-powered Escalades are worth your hard-earned money. And they probably are, especially if you go for an Escalade-V.
Featuring the same engine as the CT5-V Blackwing, namely a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, the Cadillac Escalade-V has 682 hp (692 ps/503 kW) to play with and 653 pound-feet (885 Nm) of torque. Mind you, it's still the same big boy with tons of interior space and many inches under its belly, but with this lump, it has become very fast. From naught to sixty miles per hour (0 to 97 kph), it needs only 4.4 seconds, and it can run the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds at 110 mph (177 kph).
Nearly every major tuner out there has at least some upgrades in store for the latest generation Escalade. Thus, no matter if you're looking for weird body kits like those signed by Mansory or a healthy power boost from Hennessey, name it, and it is available. The offer is even more varied when it comes to the wheels, as there are literally countless sets available for it.
The pictured Escalade comes with Forgiatos that probably measure some 28 or 30 inches in diameter. Due to the large proportions of the vehicle, the alloys don't look that exaggerated, but they are on the flashy side, nonetheless. That applies to the color, too, a pink shade that was also replicated on the rest of the exterior, joined by a few black touches at the front, sides, and rear, and on the windows in the form of the privacy glass.
As you can probably tell, this Escalade, which is in the V configuration, is anything but real. It came to life in the digital world shared by 412donklife on Instagram and wants to shock the audience. But has it done that to you, or do you actually like it? Work that keyboard in the comments section below, and tell us your thoughts about this flashy CGI project.
