Building on the success of its predecessors, the fifth-gen Cadillac Escalade has made a solid name for itself. It remains the brand's most expensive product, costing upwards of $150,000 in the V-Series configuration, and faces stiff competition from German and Japanese premium carmakers.
The latest iteration is over three years old. Production started at the Arlington factory in Texas in the first half of 2020, and it shares its GMT T1XX platform with the GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Suburban. The engine family comprises two V8s, including a supercharged unit, and a diesel, all featuring a ten-speed auto 'box.

With so many copies of the fifth-gen Cadillac Escalade out, some have been visited by the tuning fairy. Thus, they feature anything from new wheels and body kits to reupholstered interiors with an even more premium feel and even more power squeezed out of the respective engine. We've seen multiple such examples over the years, and another one has recently joined the list.

Mind you, it's not about the add-ons here, as the thing that makes it stand out the most is the murdered-out stance. It has an all-black look applied to the entire body, joined by black trim and smoked lighting units. All windows have a dark tint, and it rides on RT01 wheels with a similar look made by AG Luxury. They have a 26-inch diameter on the pictured SUV and are also available in other sizes, from 19 to 24 inches.

A look inside would have been nice, yet the wheelmaker, which dropped these images on social media recently, chose not to open the door. As a result, it probably hasn't received any extra in the cockpit. We could be wrong about that, so if you happen to be aware of pictures showing the interior, feel free to share them with us. Hopefully, it has a matching look, with everything black, including the usual chrome trim and the Cadillac logo on the steering wheel.

As you are likely aware, the GM-owned premium car manufacturer is looking to give the current Escalade a facelift. The mid-cycle refresh was spied earlier this week, showing some modest visual updates on the outside and more significant ones in the cabin. Here, it will feature a 55-inch display that appears to have been sourced from the battery-electric Escalade IQ, which builds on different underpinnings.

This will be the major selling point of the facelifted iteration when it launches, probably as a 2025 model in the United States, meaning we should see it at dealers sometime next year. It is believed to bump the MSRPs across the range when it goes on sale, and we cannot wait to see it in an official environment with no camouflage on it whatsoever.
