Keeping track of the tuned second-gen Mercedes-AMG G 63 super SUVs is an impossible mission for anyone. It feels like every other copy has received a visit from the tuning fairy, and most of the time, the finished project is more appealing than the stock model.
Name your poison, and chances are someone has done it. Whether it's different wheels wrapped in chunky rubber meant to enhance traction on slippery or sticky surfaces, the occasional body kit, reupholstered interiors, and more power coming from the bi-turbo V8 engine, everything is possible.

What's even more interesting is that you can literally turn the regular Mercedes-AMG G 63 (as if it's anything regular about a super truck with a posh cabin and timeless looks) into an unofficial 4x4 Squared. This is where Delta4x4 comes in handy with its bundle of upgrades meant to give your G 63 more hair on its chest and blend the line between the real thing and its tuned self.

Money should be no object when deciding to elevate the looks of the G 63. But everyone knows that, as it is one pricey machine. A brand-new one will set you back in excess of $180,000 stateside and often more than $200,000. Sprinkle it with some custom goodies, preferably signed by a renowned tuner whose name is not synonymous with OTT (ahem, Mansory!), and its value is bound to go through the roof.

It was a couple of weeks ago when we showed you the Brabus XLP 900 Adventure, an off-road-ready take on the Mercedes-AMG G 63. That one was (and still is) listed for sale for a jaw-dropping €785,000, which equals almost $840,000 at the current exchange rates. Thus, you know where this is going when factoring in the six-wheel drive conversion of the pictured example, don't you?

Christened the Brabus XLP 900 6x6 Superblack by the tuner, it is one extreme project that seeks a special kind of owner for whom money is the least of their concerns. It has a 6x6 frame complete with the required reinforcements, some carbon fiber touches, a roll bar in the open and elongated bed, a roof rack with extra lighting, wide fenders, a new transparent hood, and a few other things.

Are portal axles mandatory for such a build? Brabus certainly thinks so, so it has them, too. It also has a winch up front for when things get sticky or slippery, with a tractive force of 4.5 tons (9,920 lbs). The wheels measure 9.5x22 inches on all three axles and come shod in 325/55 Pirelli Scorpion ATR 116H M&S tires. And since it's called the Superblack, it obviously features a black appearance with a few carbon touches, joined by a chrome-delete package for a more menacing stance.

Such projects are usually accompanied by very lively interiors. But this is Brabus we're talking about, and they weren't going to ruin the overall appeal of the six-wheel drive super truck. As a result, it features an all-black cabin with lots of diamond quilting and many Brabus logos. There are some carbon fiber add-ons here, as well, alongside the metal trim, roof-mounted gauges, new paddle shifters, and a plethora of leather and Alcantara upholstery to make it as posh as possible.

Just like its sibling that features one less axle, the Brabus XLP 900 6x6 Superblack features the same amount of power. The 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8's displacement was increased to 4.5 liters. It gets new turbochargers, a different exhaust system, Brabus software, and some other things. The result is 900 ps (887 hp/662 kW) available at 6,200 rpm and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque at 2,900 rpm.

It measures 6,183 mm (243.4 in) long, 2,191 mm (86.3 in) wide, and 2,293 mm (90.3 in) tall. The space between the first and second axles is 3,372 mm (132.8 in) long, and it has an empty weight of 3,670 kg (8,090 lbs). As a result, one might expect it to be a slouch. But it's not. Brabus says it can sprint to 100 kph (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds. The top speed is 210 kph or 130 mph, and it drinks 18.1 liters of fuel every 100 kilometers (13 US mpg) on average.

Now comes the part where we have to tell you how much it costs. Brabus themselves advertise it on their official website here, and you are looking at a jaw-dropping €1,411,679.15 to make it yours, or just over $1.5 million. This means that you could buy eight brand-new Mercedes-AMG G 63s for the price of this single six-by-six. Thus, you will have to have very deep pockets to sign your name on the dotted line. And if you buy it, we sure hope you're going to drive it off the lit path constantly. So, has the Brabus XLP 900 6x6 Superblack convinced you to swipe right on it?
